In addition to the visual geometry, the model contains detailed data such as fire resistance ratings, material specifications, MEP systems, floor areas, quantities, and more.
BIM models are used to create digital twins and energy models, run various simulations, perform traffic analyses, generate forecasts, and more. They can also be applied to existing buildings, provided there are detailed drawings or laser scans, through Scan-to-BIM technology.
