Environmental Legislation Compliance

What does environmental legislation compliance include?

Environmental legislation compliance is an important part of the preparation and development of investment projects, plans and programmes. The process helps identify the applicable environmental requirements, necessary procedures, documents, official statements and permits before the project moves to the next stages of design and implementation.

IPA - Architecture and more supports clients in preparing documentation and coordinating with the competent environmental authorities, including the Ministry of Environment and Water, the Regional Inspectorates of Environment and Water, Basin Directorates and the Executive Environment Agency.

The activities may include preparation of notifications for plans and programmes, notifications for investment proposals, requests for assessment of the need for environmental assessment, procedures for determining the need for an EIA, as well as documentation for official statements and permits.

Depending on the project, we also assist with procedures related to groundwater abstraction, wastewater discharge, compatibility assessment with the subject and objectives of protected areas and other requirements arising from environmental legislation.

These procedures are directly connected with investment intention analysis, project approval and coordination, spatial planning, engineering infrastructure and architectural design. Addressing them at an early stage reduces the risk of delays, incomplete documentation and the need for changes later in the process.
