Strategic Planning

What does strategic planning include?

Strategic planning is a process for defining a long-term vision, goals and development directions for urban territories, municipalities, zones, properties or investment projects. It brings together spatial analysis, social and economic factors, infrastructure capacity, environmental conditions and the real needs of the urban environment.

IPA - Architecture and more develops strategic analyses, concepts and plans that support informed decision-making at an early stage. The process may include research of the existing environment, analysis of development potential, assessment of constraints, social and functional studies, simulations, development scenarios and formulation of a clear spatial vision.

Strategic planning is especially important for complex urban territories, municipal policies, large investment intentions, areas of public interest and projects that require coordination between multiple participants. It helps reduce risks, organize priorities and create a realistic framework for subsequent spatial planning and investment design.

In the practice of IPA - Architecture and more, strategic planning may be connected with territorial development concepts, detailed development plans DDP, investment intention analysis, urban mediation and project management. This turns the strategic vision into a working basis for subsequent design, administrative and investment actions.

The goal is to create sustainable, functional and realistic strategies that consider the interests of investors and institutions, as well as the needs of the environment, the community and future users.
