About the project

TESY is the largest manufacturer of electric water heaters in Bulgaria. For IPA, the architectural challenge was to design TESY's fifth household and electric boiler manufacturing plant, complete with a modern high-tech office building to accommodate the administrative functions. Because of its construction, the production complex ranks among the most modern European plants in the industry.

IPA's goal in this project was to think outside the box when it came to the classical understanding of how to create a production center. That is the precise reason why the overall solution conveys a non-standard and modern design, integrating new approaches.

The office part of the plant has three floors and includes a tall, glazed facade that elegantly breaks the bonds of classical geometry and welcomes visitors from the side of the main entrance. The company logo is added as an accent to the administrative building. In the administrative part, on the first level, there are functioning areas such as a lobby with an exhibition space, and meeting and training rooms.

Employees in this part can also use a dining hall. On the second and third levels, there are offices, meeting rooms, and service rooms. But what stands out the most in the administration building is the elegant interior, complete with clear lines and materials, with deliberately added design accents in TESY's brand colors.

In the production building, the company carries out additional processing of some of the elements needed for electric water heaters, as well as their final assembly. Both here and in the warehouse buildings, the focus is on the white color, bringing a sense of cleanness, and rhythm: thin glazed openings alternate harmoniously in the facade, and the loading and unloading area is completed in a contrasting dark gray color. All colors and volume-spatial compositions in the building complex are balanced thanks to this approach.

The production complex of TESY is distinguishable because of its modern construction solutions, modern architecture, and the positive effect on the development of the economy in the region.
