Fresh&Frozen Logistics and Warehouse, designed by IPA - Architecture and more, received first prize at Bulgaria’s national Building of the Year 2022 competition. The award was presented during the official ceremony on December 15, 2022, at Sofia Event Center, with the project recognized in the Production and Logistics Buildings category.
Fresh&Frozen is a logistics and warehouse facility designed for a company specializing in refrigerated and frozen logistics. The nature of its operations required specific architectural and technical solutions for temperature-controlled storage, efficient movement of goods, and the organization of fast and reliable logistics processes.
Completed within one year, the facility provides the conditions required for one of Bulgaria’s large temperature-controlled warehouse operations. Its architecture responds directly to the functional and technological requirements of the logistics program, integrating storage, circulation, and operational efficiency within a coherent building concept.
The Fresh&Frozen distinction continues IPA’s recognition in industrial and logistics architecture. In the previous edition of the competition, IPA projects for Orbico Bulgaria and the Ottobock Production Factory in Blagoevgrad were also awarded.
