Design Process Management

What does design process management include?

Design process management includes planning, organization and coordination of design activities during the pre-design and design stages. The goal is for the process to follow a clear framework, with defined scope, timeframes, responsibilities and sequence between the different participants.

IPA - Architecture and more supports clients and investors in the coordination between architects, engineers, consultants, designers from different disciplines and institutions. This helps the project documentation to be developed in a coordinated, consistent way and in accordance with technical, regulatory and contractual requirements.

During the design process, key parameters are monitored, including timeframes, task scope, quality of documentation, coordination between disciplines and timely resolution of issues or inconsistencies. When needed, corrective measures can be applied to reduce the risk of delays and unclear responsibilities in the next stages.

The lead architect has an important role as a coordinator between the design team and the client. Through clear communication and structured task distribution, the project process becomes better organized, decisions become clearer and the project has a more reliable basis for approval, budgeting and implementation.

The service is directly connected with investment project management, architectural design, engineering design, project budgeting and project coordination and approval. When the design process is managed systematically, the project has better coordination, fewer omissions and clearer preparation for the following phases.
