About the project

For IPA - Architecture and more, it was an honor to design the fifth production facility of TESY – the largest manufacturer of electric water heaters in Bulgaria. Our goal was not only to meet the technological requirements and give the project a distinctive architectural identity, but also to instill confidence and strength in the company as it competes with the most advanced European factories in the industry.

We chose to act boldly and step beyond the conventional understanding of an industrial complex - and we succeeded. The facility was distinguished with the “Building of the Year 2016” award in the category Industrial and Logistics Buildings.

The three-storey administrative building features a tall glazed facade that elegantly breaks the classical geometry. The company’s logo is positioned as a leading visual accent on the facade. The ground floor houses a spacious lobby with an exhibition area, as well as meeting and training rooms. The interior welcomes visitors with openness, clean lines, and refined contrasts - a combination of black and white tones, complemented by oak details. This level also includes an employee dining hall, ensuring convenience and comfort.

The second and third floors accommodate offices, conference rooms, and service areas. A defining feature of the design is the continuation of the full-height glazing with black aluminum frames, which conveys determination and transparency. Natural wood finishes and accents in TESY’s corporate colors contribute to the overall sense of style and belonging.

The production building is dedicated to the additional processing of components for electric water heaters and their final assembly. In both the production and warehouse zones, the architectural approach emphasizes clarity, rhythm, and precision - the facade alternates slender glazed openings with clean white panels, while the loading and unloading areas stand out in a contrasting dark grey finish.

For the TESY production complex in Shumen, the team of IPA - Architecture and more created a modern and functional piece of industrial architecture - one inspired by innovation, resilience, and the will to succeed.
