Teletek Electronics entrusted IPA – Architecture and more with the design and construction of its new production and administrative facility in Sofia, where the company manufactures its full range of fire alarm and intrusion detection equipment. The investment amounts to 25 million BGN.
The facility covers 11,000 sq.m and is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery. The production area operates across five fully equipped manufacturing lines and occupies 3,800 sq.m. The warehouse section extends over 3,200 sq.m and is fitted with the necessary racking systems, providing sufficient capacity for storing materials and finished products. A significant part of the production processes is fully automated, while several activities - such as the assembly of smoke detectors - are managed and executed by a next-generation robotic system developed in-house by the company, with an output of 1 million detectors per year.
The new home of Teletek is designed to support the company’s production needs for the next decade and to enable a 50% increase in manufacturing capacity. The facility not only expands production, but also advances the company’s R&D operations through modern laboratory equipment and specialized testing setups. The introduction of new machinery, production technology and process automation aims to improve both product quality and overall efficiency.
The building includes a three-storey administrative block covering 3,800 sq.m, where the precise layout of office spaces and fully equipped meeting and training rooms provides comfort and convenience for employees and visitors. The interior design of the office area features contemporary solutions in both spatial organization and furnishings. Dedicated rooms for testing activities are allocated and fitted with the required technical equipment. A precision-controlled HVAC system ensures optimal working conditions. Attention is also given to employee well-being, with designated relaxation and sports areas, a garden and dining spaces. As an environmentally oriented company, Teletek additionally invested in the construction of a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of up to 700 kWp.
The production process includes the delivery, storage and preparation of electronic components and other parts and subassemblies; supply of plastic components; automatic SMD assembly of printed circuit boards; through-hole mounting of conventional electronic components and modules using wave soldering; pre-assembly preparation; final assembly of products; execution of all functional tests, adjustments and programming of finished devices; as well as the related auxiliary technological processes.
For the needs of the technological equipment, all required installations have been built - including a nitrogen supply system and a compressor station. The climate-control systems are designed to provide and maintain the precise microclimate required in each zone of the building.
Teletek Electronics received a “Class A Investor” certificate from the Bulgarian Investment Agency for the implementation of its new manufacturing facility. The company was also nominated for “Investor of the Year” in 2021 in the category “Investment in Innovative Business”.
